School Party and Horse Session

The morning that we left the city, we raced back home, dropped off Daddy at work, took Beau to his last day of school, and headed to Lewis' end-of-year school party. It was an all-school extraveganza at Rosedale Park. The weather was perfect, and we had a lot of fun. Lewis has an amazing music teacher at his school, Miss Anna, and he loved spending some time with her. He also really loved his pony ride. Other than that, we played, chatted, did a craft, ate some food, and bounced balloons on the parachute.

Later that week, on Friday after school, we headed to our "Groom, Tack, and Ride" class at the local Equestrian Center. The boys loved learning all about how to care for a horse and then trying their hands at it. And, they really liked taking a couple rides on the horses. What fun!

Beau was obsessed with this cat! During the little class, every time the cat would pop into the room, I'd hear this little high-pitched, "Oh! Kitty Cat!" Beau would hop off his chair and race after the cat to pet her!

We have a book with babies making different expressions. This is the expression for "Smiling". Eyes closed. Beau is a rather quick learner, and picked up right away that this was, in fact, how to smile. Darn that book!
