April Outings!

April seemed to fly by with a couple travel weekends and some fun outings and activities.

Here are some pictures of Lewis at soccer!
He's gotten the hang of it a bit more. He still prefers to play defense to offense (not a surprise!). He's a bit of a fish out of water if Caroline isn't there, and when she is there, they like to play goalie on the same team, regardless of what teams they are actually on! He's so sensitive too...he sits out for any games where the coach is pretending to be a fox or a bee or something scary that could eat his ball. So cute!

Soccer is behind the elementary school, so we always get to play on the playground afterwards!

We also had a wonderful time in April/May doing swimming lessons. No pictures of that, unfortunately, as mom was in the water too! Lewis had what ended up being a private lesson with "Coach Mike" each week and mom did swim time with Beau. After being a little tentative the first week, Beau decided that swimming is the best thing since sliced bread. He must have jumped in the pool 100 times, about 85% of that when I was looking. He thought nothing of putting his head under water. And, he even tried a somersault off the side into the water. Fearless! And, rather terrifying!

Lewis is much more Lewis about swimming...one small step at a time, very thoughtful, a bit tentative though excited, and not interested in getting water on his face!

Lewis has been so into letters for a little while now. He officially read his first word to me..."red"! What a cutie-pie!

Beau has a new obsession - eggs!
He could eat eggs all day long if we let him. He loves them hard or soft boiled, scrambled, or in egg salad. "I want egg in my mouth!" A phrase we now hear often! With such a love of eggs, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Thankfully there were only a few in the carton...and the mess stayed pretty much in the carton! Phew!

We had some lovely days for outings including this day at Terhune...always a favorite!

And, we took a trip down to Philly to visit the Please Touch Museum with Caroline. That was a very exciting treat!
