We weren't going to let them leave without celebrating in style - a big, New York themed family dance party! It was such a fun event to plan. We had people bring NY/NJ themed food - pizza, soft pretzels, stromboli, NY cheesecake, black and white cookies, etc. Mike and I also tried our hand at a schwarma in honor of Jake & Mish's favorite thing to eat in the city. We also had a NY themed photo booth with a city skyline, a taxi cab, and lots of glitzy props. Mish's friends in the ward covered the music for the dance party.
And, what a dance party it was! I think we need to do this more often! It was so great to see all ages out on the dance floor just having nothing but pure fun. We loved it...and did the boys ever love it! They kicked things off on the dance floor all on their own and danced the whole night away. The only time they'd disappear was to run to the photo booth for a costume change! So cute!
We love our Wasdens!!!
