The kids were adorable. Curious George was a hit, of course. Lewis was able to do two science experiments - something he loves! One was on salt water and fresh water mixing in an estuary. The other was on washing hands adequately so as to eliminate germs...that was a very useful one! We had lots of fun with the other exhibits, saw "big fishies and turtles", and great views of the city. We finished our time at the museum with a dissection demonstration of a cow's eye. Mmmm!
After the museum, we headed over to the park to take in views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the financial district. It was a gorgeous day, and so fun!
| When I was teaching at Brown, we brought our students here on a field trip. I convinced them that Ellis Island was, in fact, my island! ;-) |
Lewis was so tired on the way home that he fell asleep while eating a fruit bar. He actually almost finished the whole bar while sleeping!
