We took a little winter get-away at the beginning of March - a trip to Miami! It was our first time visiting Miami, and we loved it. Mike found out at the last minute that he had to attend a conference there over a weekend. After finding a cheap ticket for Norah, we were off and packing. We have to take advantage of the last year that Lewis will fly for free!
We had three full days in Miami. It had been unseasonably cold in Florida, so it wasn't really warm beach weather. Still, it was gorgeous and sunny, which was all we needed! Mike enjoyed the conference. Norah enjoyed lots of walks on the beach with Lewis and perusing the art-deco district. And, we had some yummy meals with Mike when he wasn't working. We were also delightfully surprised to bump into a friend of Norah's at church, so we spent Sunday afternoon catching up with him and his kids.
It was a welcome treat, and a much needed diversion from the gray up north. And, once we arrived home, spring was in the air!

We also loved visiting Bill Baggs state park and seeing the lighthouse there, as well as Crandon Park beach - lovely.
