Happy Halloween!

Our Halloween began with the annual trunk or treat at church. Mike and the youth were in charge of it, and they did a great job! The kids had lots of fun. We ate chili, played a few games, and got lots of candy!

Lewis had a Halloween parade with his class. They were incredibly adorable!

And then it was Halloween! We got ready and joined our wonderful neighbors with their kids, Will and Ada, to go trick or treating. The kids were pretty darn excited! We really felt the step change between this year and previous years. Both boys were absolutely confident and knew just what to do. They remembered to say trick or treat and thank you all on their own, throwing in the occasional Happy Halloween! They ran from house to house, calling out to each other to decide where they were headed next. If the parents hadn't been with them, I'm not sure they would have noticed! It was really fun! And, it's always a great night to see everyone in the neighborhood and catch up as we trick or treat.

Orange and black for school!

Tyler State Park & Bowman's Hill

Fall at its best!!!

We had a gorgeous walk around Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA one Saturday morning. It was filled with all the things I love about family walks: crazy boys tromping through leaves, acting out the billy goats gruff on the trip trap bridge, fall colors, a corn field, kids hiding behind trees and jumping out with absolute certainty that they've terrified you, throwing rocks into the river, and lots of great time for mom and dad to talk.

Afterwards, we headed to the tower at Bowman's Hill to take in a view over Bucks County with the fall foliage. The boys loved winding up the stone stairs in the tower and waving from the top!

Fall Photos!

We've been regular visitors to Terhune this fall!

Lewis had a field trip to Terhune to pick pumpkins with his class. I thought I'd take Beau the day before so that he had his own little Terhune outing as well! Beau and I had a wonderful time. He really seems to relish his days just with me to do everything according to his own pace and whims. We had a fun time feeding the animals at Terhune, driving tractors, and picking out some pumpkins.

The next day I was back at Terhune again with Lewis's class. They had a great tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch, picked pumpkins, ate pumpkin bread, and had a little bit of time to explore the farm. It was really fun to tag along and see Lewis with the school crowd!

My little car load for the field trip! Ava, Lewis, & Miles

The next day we were back at Terhune again! This time just out to the apple orchard to do a little picking!
