Since we were on school holidays for a couple weeks, I managed to get in quite a few playdates, some outings to favorite spots like the aquarium and the Playeum.
We also fit in dentist appointments for the boys. Beau dressed himself for the appointment.
And, at the end of the month, we had one of the more exciting FHE activities we've ever done...the boys helped to shave Mike's beard! Mike had decided it was time for it to go! They had SUCH fun!
We had so many geckos in our apartment. Everyone did.
Lizards were even cooler, though they weren't normally in the apartment.
Beau managed to catch this one with Dad's help! Quite the exciting night!!!
The boys had book week at the end of the month.
Beau wore our lion towel to be the Lion from Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis created his own hero costume from the Geronimo Stilton Heromice series. It was seriously cute! He had his own amazing, paper snout to complete the look!
The last thing to mention is that from the time we got back from New Zealand, the proceeding weeks and months began to feel like a bit of an anxious pressure cooker. Mike was job hunting. There was a point where we though we might even pull the boys from school for the third term and be back in the US for the spring. That didn't happen. Then we felt like we were up against deadlines of knowing what was happening so we could withdraw them for the following year without paying late fees. That didn't really happen either...and the deadlines were at the end of this month. (We managed to get out of the fees once everything came together.)
Needless to say, it was a stressful few months, not knowing what was happening, networking up the wazoo, interviews, rejections, looking at possibilities all over, and playing the waiting game!
