Love babies eating watermelon!
I can't keep up with these boys' creativity!
Little teething David riding his bike.
Such a classic Lewis face...especially when he's playing with his baby brother!
Beau just loves!
We celebrated Daddy's birthday again at home the weekend following Hong Kong. (As if we hadn't had enough food in Hong Kong to last 5 birthdays!) On Friday night, Mike and I went out to Burnt Ends, a really amazing open kitchen Australian bbq place. It was one of the best meals we've had! We combined that with a walk around Duxton Hill and some views from the Pinnacle at Duxton. It was a great birthday date night!
Our friend Jairo came over for dinner on Sunday, and we created this meringue concoction afterwards for dessert. That's a lemon meringue with strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mangosteins (Mike's fav!), and a passion fruit compote. Then a cookies and cream meringue with strawberries, blueberries, and melted ice cream. And a chocolate meringue with kiwi, pomogranate, and a pomogranate sauce. Plus chocolate sauce and cream on the side. Phew!
Mike and I had a super date out to see Singin' in the Rain at the MBS Theatre. It was a FABULOUS production! I had pictures from the show on my phone, but those were lost. :-( But, we did meet the cast afterwards. Turns out they're South African, and they were so nice! Really fun show!
Beau also tried out Tae Kwon Do this month. He loved it, so he's started taking lessons! It's great - jump, run, kick...perfect way to get out some energy! :-)
Lewis wanted to make Beau a paper David so that Beau could have someone to cuddle with when David was sleeping. He very wisely made it anotomically correct.
Finally we celebrated our helper Fina's birthday at the end of the month. The boys went to town decorating. We made her the classic Wasden cake. And, we invited over our neighbors to help celebrate and eat! At the end of the night, the boys put on a show...because the boys put on a show most every day in this house! :-)
