January Birthday and a Little Snow

Back home!!!

January definitely went by quickly since we only came home halfway through the month. We were treated to a few days of mild weather once we arrived home - quite the gift to help our transition. After that, it was time for the snow to begin!

The first couple weeks back seemed just perfect. The boys were so thrilled to have all of their new birthday (Lewis) and Christmas toys. Our neighbors gave us a bunch of their games that were also a big hit. And, I was too tired to try to accomplish much of anything, so I just played with the boys - that's really the best thing to accomplish anyway. Besides that, it was "nice" to be up at 3 in the morning every day. I could read my scriptures, read the news, go to the gym, clean up, and be ready to go by breakfast time every day! ;-)

Before we knew it, Beau's birthday was here! We celebrated with his friend Teddy from church and our friends Christina and Joe. It was a very fun night for the kiddos!

Michael decorated a fabulous fire truck cake in honor of our little fire truck boy!

The main gift was a floor piano. Beau spent the whole night turning it off so he could hear the little tune it plays when you hit the off button. Poor design people...don't make it exciting to switch it off! Within a week or two though, the "off button" excitement had worn off and the boys now love it.

Lots of love for Teddy!

Beau's actual birthday was on a Tuesday - choir night for Mommy. Since we had already celebrated on the weekend, we just did a last sliver of cake to commemorate the 22nd.

These boys love their Daddy!

The first snowfall we had was a bit light. But, Lewis was excited to try out his new shovel nonetheless.

Beau was excited for the grilled cheese sandwiches and hot chocolate afterwards!
